Building a Learning Ecosystem for the Arab World’s Healthcare Professionals
TheChapter came to us needing more than a visual refresh. This learning platform had to support 120,000+ healthcare professionals across the Arab world. It could never feel like generic corporate software. Seven years of training experience and a network of 1,500+ expert speakers meant the brand’s credibility was already there. The digital product simply hadn’t caught up yet.
The core challenge was serving two very different audiences: individual professionals pursuing CPD/CME-accredited learning, and organizations managing training at scale. We had to do this without splitting the product into two disconnected experiences. So we designed a bilingual (Arabic/English) information architecture. It routes each audience to a dedicated path from the very first click. Course and event cards stay focused on the detail this audience checks first: how many accredited hours they’ll earn.
Rather than a flat course catalogue, we structured learning into progressive paths. We also gave the platform’s event system room to handle live and virtual conferences, from Disaster Management sessions to AI for Healthcare events. Each one carries clear status tags and category labels. A dark, confident visual language anchors the design, built around near-black with a warm coral accent. It reinforced the sense that this was a professional partner, not another LMS.
The result: a 150% increase in daily and monthly active users following launch. Role-based dashboards scale with theChapter’s growing catalogue. And the platform is now trusted by institutions including the Ministry of Health and King Saud University. It’s proof that designing for a specialized, high-stakes audience doesn’t mean designing small — it means designing with precision.
