The Challenge
Smart Bricks set out to change how people invest in real estate. It uses AI-driven analytics and ROI simulations to give investors a clearer read on a decision. Traditionally, that decision relied on gut instinct and generic listings. Our task was to design the MVP-V1 that would prove this approach actually worked.
Real estate investing decisions are high-stakes and infrequent. Investors weren’t going to trust a platform’s AI-driven numbers on faith alone. The experience itself had to build that trust, screen by screen.

The Problem
Data Without Confidence Is Just Noise
Advanced analytics and AI simulations are only valuable if an investor actually understands and trusts what they’re looking at. The risk with a data-heavy platform is different: presenting too much information. That overwhelms rather than clarifies, leaving investors no more confident than before.
Smart Bricks needed its analytics to feel like insight, not output. That meant translating complex ROI modeling into something an investor could act on with confidence.
Our Design Approach
We designed the MVP around a single goal: make informed decision-making feel simple, even when the underlying analysis was sophisticated. So we surfaced the AI-driven ROI simulation as the centerpiece of every property view — not a secondary report to dig for.
We prioritized a small number of high-confidence signals over an exhaustive data dump. That gave investors a clear read at a glance, with the option to go deeper when they wanted to.
Key Features We Designed Around
- AI-Driven ROI Simulation
- Investment Analytics Dashboard
- Streamlined Property Evaluation Flow
- Conversion-Focused Landing Experience
The landing page was redesigned to move a visitor from curiosity to a completed evaluation without friction. Every additional step was a place a hesitant investor could drop off. The property evaluation flow mirrors how an experienced investor already thinks through a deal: need, numbers, then decision.
The User Experience
Confidence Through Clarity, Not Volume
Every screen was tested against one question: did it make an investor feel more confident, or just more informed? Analytics that increase understanding without increasing confidence don’t move an investor to act. So we designed the interface to lead with the “so what,” not just the data.
We treated the MVP as a proof point for the platform’s core promise. That promise: AI-driven analysis could genuinely make real estate investing more accessible. Every design decision was made to support that claim, not just to look sophisticated.
Lessons Learned
The biggest lesson from Smart Bricks: in data-driven products, restraint is what builds trust. The instinct to show more analytics competes directly with the goal of building investor confidence. Simplicity won every time we tested it.
We also learned that an MVP can prove a business model, not just a feature set. That works when the design is built specifically to remove the friction between insight and action.
Within the first month, landing page conversions increased by 70%. Closed deals rose from 6% to 28%. Smart Bricks is proof that AI can make real estate investing feel less risky. The key is designing the interface around it to build confidence at every step.
